Isn't this like some of the compare  programs that we currently have?

No!! The COMPARE programs are designed to show the differences between two versions of  the same file (usually programs or JCL). They are not designed to process two different DATASETS that only have a common KEY. Although the matching options of DYNA-MatCH are unique, DYNA-MatCH is still the best  single file utility available.

Can I use DYNA-MatCH on my PC?

No. DYNA-MatCH is only for IBM Mainframes using MVS.

YES. DYNA-MatCH can read one or two files, either one or both can be VSAM

YES. DYNA-MatCH can read and create Variable length records.

Can I place comments in the control section?

Yes. Any control statement that begins with an asterick is a comment. Any unused columns in a control statement can be used for comments.
